Offender searching – Avoid captcha?
The new CAPTCHA only seldom requires pictures to be chosen and most of the time it is just a matter of checking the box.
Unfortunately, there is not a single national database for sex offenders. The NSOPW site is essentially a search engine that interfaces with the various state, tribal and territory sex offender registry databases when a search is run – usually via web services. There is also no published API to allow searches to be done programmatically as this approach would lead to security and performance concerns not only for the NSOPW site, but also for all of the jurisdictions that provide data to this site.
